Solar wraps up 2025 with over 7,400 visitors

Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery ended 2025 on a highly positive note, establishing itself as a benchmark venue for creation, presentation and reflection on cinematic art and contemporary artistic practices.
Throughout the year, Solar held 5 openings, presenting a total of 8 exhibitions that brought together different languages, artists and audiences. The focus on artistic creation was also reflected in 3 artistic residencies and 3 performances, promoting experimentation and the intersection between cinema, visual arts and performing arts.
The programme included 32 film screenings, reinforcing Solar's role in disseminating unique cinematographic works and stimulating critical thinking, complemented by 3 talks with artists, curators and researchers.
Training remained a central focus of the activity, with 32 workshops, including 2 long-term workshops as part of the Curtas – Educational Service programme, dedicated to deepening practices and knowledge related to animated cinema and audiovisual creation.
The space also hosted 7 happy hours, informal moments of encounter and sharing between artists, audiences and the community, reinforcing the social and relational dimension of the gallery.
In total, Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery received 7,483 visitors in 2025, a number that confirms the growing interest of the public and the relevance of the project in the cultural landscape.
With this assessment, Solar reaffirms its commitment to artistic creation, cultural mediation and access to art, preparing to continue its demanding and diverse programme in the coming years.
