Led by Xana Miranda, these activities consists of playful readings of children's stories, followed by a surprise workshop, designed to reinforce the message of the story, stimulate understanding of the narrative and encourage the active participation of children. At the end of each session, participants are invited to enjoy a snack.

Each session will last approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Participation is free, but subject to prior registration.

The first session of this cycle will take place on March 14th at 3.30 pm and will be dedicated to the book "My Dear Sea" by André Carrilho. "My Dear Sea" tells the tender story of a girl and her family spending a day at the beach. Between games and moments of joy, important messages also emerge: we must be careful with the sea and learn to take care of it.

André Carrilho, born in Amadora, is an illustrator, comic book author, animator, and caricaturist. His work has been featured in exhibitions in several countries and published in media outlets such as Diário de Notícias, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and Harper's Magazine. The book "The Girl with the Occupied Eyes", published by Bertrand Editora, won the 2021 Portuguese Illustration Award and has received several international awards.

As part of the parallel programme of ANIMAR 21 exhibition, Conto Contigo aims to create a playful, educational and engaging moment for the whole family, bringing children and parents closer to literature in a fun and meaningful way.

Promoted by Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery and Curtas – Educational Service, this initiative reinforces the work of raising awareness among families, highlighting Family Reading as an essential tool for the emotional and cognitive development of children.
