ANIMar 19 Opening Exhibition
The inauguration, which took place on Sunday March 3rd, announced to its spectators a new programme, this one more focused on Portuguese cinema than on animation as in previous editions.
The 19th edition of ANIMar 19 kicked off this weekend with the opening session and the inauguration of the exhibition at Solar - Cinematic Art Gallery.
The event was attended by Vila do Conde City Council's Councillor for Culture, Paulo Vasques, and the coordinator of the FILMar film project, Tiago Bartolomeu Costa. The artists Carolina Bonzinho, Miguel Lima and Mónica Santos, as well as the coordinator of the cultural association Bind'ó Peixe, Abel Coentrão, also took part in the guided tour of the gallery.
The event was also graced by the presence of children from the Casa da Criança da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila do Conde, who took part in the creation of the short film produced in the context of this project's feature-length workshops, under the guidance of Carolina Bonzinho and Miguel Lima.
ANIMar 19 is an annual project that starts with a core exhibition and unfolds into various parallel activities that move around the same theme, from film screenings to workshops and even guided tours.
Solar - Galeria de Arte Cinemática is part of RPAC - Portuguese Network of Contemporary Art
