Applications are now open for Summer Laboratories 2024, a project promoted by gnration (Braga) and CIAJG - Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães (Guimarães), in partnership with Solar - Galeria de Arte Cinemática (Vila do Conde).

Since 2015, Summer Labs has been a leading project in supporting artistic creation in the Braga district. Throughout nine editions, this program created by gnration (Braga) has supported more than three dozen projects and half a hundred artists. With an emphasis on the fields of image, sound, performance, interactivity, music, dance or the crossover between the areas described above, the Summer Laboratories take on an artistic residency format intending to experiment with new ideas and works for subsequent public presentation.

In 2023, gnration and CIAJG (Guimarães) joined forces as promoting partners in the Summer Labs project, reinforcing the mission of both organizations in contemporary culture in the region. This partnership broadens the scope of support for artists who can find a favorable context in the region to develop their artistic practice, focusing on the work of emerging creatives and innovative artistic languages of a hybrid and experimental nature.

For the tenth edition of Summer Laboratories, gnration, and CIAJG are joining forces with Solar - Cinematic Art Gallery (Vila do Conde), expanding the project's reach beyond the district.
