Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery is one of the spaces for artistic fruition and creation that integrate the Portuguese Network of Contemporary Art (RPAC).

The RPAC was created by the Direção-Geral das Artes / Ministério da Cultura with the aim of enhancing and expanding access to and dissemination of contemporary art produced in Portugal; promote networking; and contribute to increase decentralization practices, establishing synergies between positive spaces, collectors, programmers, curators and visual artists.

Solar is now one of the 66 spaces that were approved for the 1st phase of membership applications, contributing to territorial decentralisation and deconcentration and wider access to the arts.
