ANIMAL is a guttural sound and video piece where identity is tied up in the knots of voice, bodily organs, and technology.

Was the body ever natural? The installation uses the body and the voice, probably the most intimate of the instruments, as a method of inquiry. Exploring the boundaries of what is considered organic or synthetic, natural or aberrant. 

Filmed with an endoscopy camera, the video explores the mouth and throat intimately and viscerally, with a voyeuristic tone. Cavities where shouting, singing, blowing, talking, coughing, gargling, eating, breathing, spitting, vomiting, sex, and pleasure take place. The music is entirely composed of voice and A.I. software training for speech synthesis.
