In self-shooting experimental film, the fusion of artist and camera is an essential part of the creative process. But what happens when the physical body fails? When the weight of certain cameras and the physical demands of self-shooting potentially become too much? What new aesthetic and conceptual possibilities emerge from such conditions? In this masterclass, artist and filmmaker Morgan Quaintance considers these questions in relation to his own practice and experience with chronic pain.
