Applications are now open until April 6th for Summer Laboratories 2026, an artistic residency programme dedicated to the development of new projects across the fields of image, sound, performance, interactivity, music and dance, as well as interdisciplinary practices.

Promoted by gnration, CAAA – Centro para os Assuntos da Arte e Arquitectura (Guimarães) and Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery, the programme will select four artistic projects to be developed during a two-week residency between July and August 2026.

The resulting works will later be presented publicly within the cultural programmes of gnration, Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery and CAAA throughout 2026 and 2027. Each selected project will receive financial support of €2,000 (artistic cachet), as well as technical, production and curatorial support.

Summer Laboratories is open to artists or collectives connected to the district of Braga or the municipality of Vila do Conde. Selected projects will be announced on May 11th.
