ANIMAR 21 kicks off next Saturday, 7 March, at 3 p.m., with a screening of the film "Into the Wonderwoods" (2024) by Alexis Ducord and Vincent Paronnaud, an adaptation of Vincent Paronnaud's comic book ‘Dans la forêt sombre et mystérieuse’ (Into the Wonderwoods), published in 2016 and awarded the Pépite d'or prize at the Salon du Livre Jeunesse in Montreuil. This event will take place at the Municipal Theatre of Vila do Conde.

ANGEL IN THE MAGICAL FOREST

Ten-year-old Ângelo dreams of being an adventurer and explorer. His courage will be put to the test when, after being left behind at a train station, he decides to enter the mysterious forest inhabited by strange beings and prove that he is capable of surviving so many challenges on his own.

"Into the Wonderwoods" is an adaptation of Vincent Paronnaud's comic book "Dans la forêt sombre et mystérieuse". Well known to comic book fans — and film buffs, especially for his work as co-writer and co-director of "Persepolis" with Marjane Satrapi in 2007 — Vincent Paronnaud directed the film with Alexis Ducord.
