"Magnificent journey. We arrived well" is the content of a telegram found during the artistic creation process Álbuns de Guerra (War Albums), in which we fictionalized a more private and sensitive story about the Portuguese Colonial War. To do this, we collected, listened to, cut up, assembled and pasted images and stories shared by women from the Vale do Ave area who, during the 24 months of military service of their then boyfriends, fiancés or husbands, materialised their love relationship by exchanging photographs, aerograms and letters. This archive box not only documents this process but also invites us to add other memories and images to this story.
